Inspiration

"I brought cute clouds to glue to my face, but I don't think they will stay on when I dance. Does my outfit look cloud themed? I feel like I look more like a candy girl than a cloud powered magical girl."
On a whim, CM decided to go with the former.
It's no secret that CM has been doing her own makeup for some time now. The vibe is cute and youthful with a serious edge -- the perfect mixed candy bag to kick butt in MiAO's magical force. When asked for the inspo, CM just laughed and quoted the infamous meme:

But on a more serious note, she states that she couldn't think of a better makeup idol for the concept than Harley Quin from Suicide Squad.
"To be honest, I spent more time thinking about the other members' makeup styles that I hadn't even thought about my own until the day of," she says. "It seemed like an obvious choice for the circus theme, and I've always wanted to try my own version of Harley's iconic look."
Other than that, CM followed a typical Saturday night makeup style for her, which incorporates influences from clown kei, goth, ghost aesthetic, social media trends, and editorial makeup.
"You look like Boo [the Nintendo character]," Zippy once commented. "You look like you're angry... but also smiling? All while resting your face." CM giggled, "Thanks, he's very cute."
[Editor's note: CM decided after filming that she does want to keep the cloud theme after all.]
